The Erie County Department of Health is offering grants of up to $40,000 per eligible units for lead safe home repairs.
To be eligible, units must be within 2+ unit dwellings located in NYS Department of Health Communities of Concern: 14201, 14204, 14206, 14207, 14208, 14210, 14211, 14212, 14213, 14214, 14215, and 14225 (only properties west of the I-90).
Eligible units must be cited by ECDOH for a lead-based paint hazard.
Grant funds must be used to address lead hazards and can be used for repairs such as window replacement, siding, porch, and door replacement
There are no income requirements for this program – for the property owner or the tenant!
Rental property owners must commit to limiting rent increases by 3% for five years after the work is performed. Click below to access the application:
